So… why exactly is there a blog here?
That’s quite the deep question actually, what is the point of throwing online some images and – most of the time – random rants that do not always add to the picture?
For me taking pictures is done without any real “knowledge” about photography. I have never been to art school nor have I ever had an interest in getting a deep understanding of what we call photography or art. I respect artists and I will generally give constructive – be it positive or negative – feedback on their work when asked to, however the feedback I give is completely without a “professional” idea, it’s my personal opinion about what I like and dislike. The same thing happens when I take a picture.
When I take a picture I do not take a picture because an “artist” would take one at that exact moment, I take it because I like what I see and I think other people might also like it. I put these pictures here because I want to hear from other people, be it young or old, amateur or professional, European or Asian, … what they think of my pictures and how they think I can improve myself so my next picture will be a better.
I do not like to call myself an artist because it’s too subjective and too fleeting to define, all I want are opinions from so that my next picture can be even better then the previous one.
